FLEETit is going TO Norway
Sail Norway
Hello friends,

This summer we are going to discover a new destination. The place of legends. The land of ice. The land of fire.

Norway. Yes, you read it right. Subtle and bold. And that's how it really feels: quiet, cold, and beautiful in its magnitude. The kind of power that is never loud and crowded. Except for the deafening sound of silence.

It is the land of ancient warriors and sailors. Home of the Vikings. You probably imagine them as really tough and rugged? Yes, they were. Thanks to the place they lived in. In the cold and bare land, pierced with jagged rocks. For sailing, they used Drakkars, 18 meters long and 3 meters wide boats. Pretty badass.

We think so too. But we're not as badass and will charter a modern sailing yacht.
7 days
We will sail our yacht around the most spectacular corners of Norway.
7 stops
Starting in Bergen we sail through the mighty fjords and fish out something to eat in the tiny Stolmen.

Why choose this adventure?
Look at our detailed plan
Let's Rock & Roll
Day 1
Meet in Bergen on the 5th of August. This town is also known as Fjord Gates.
If you want to get some sightseeing on your own then make sure to arrive one day earlier on August 4th. After exploring Bergen we travel to Hjellestad, where we find the marina and our yacht.
The plan is simple. We get here by bus, buy the goods we need for the trip, and load up the yacht. And then we get out into the open water.
Day 2
This fjord village has a lot to offer. There are the Hatteberg waterfall and the Rosendal Baroniet House with a garden and surrounding fields. We'll be spending the night here.
Day 3
Getting here by car. The trip to the Trolltunga starts from here. You guessed right - it does mean the Troll Tongue.
Make sure to bring tracking shoes and something warm like skiing pants with you. This hike will take us 8 hours in total. And it is worth every sweaty bit of effort. The view is legendary. Let's hope it won't be crowded by tourists, and we will get to enjoy a little solitary pleasure. For all you introverts on the trip.
Day 4
This little island town is all about the sightseeing and the local food. What to see: the country museum and a sea museum. What to eat: go to the famous restaurant Fengselet Mat & Vinkjellar. No need to Google it. We know it's good.
Day 5
One thing to say about this place: there are no hotels. You might think it's a small thing but it really makes a big difference. We will go fishing here, and discover what a quaint Norwegian town looks like without all the tourists.
Day 6
I guess this island is what you might call small. The total population is 200 people. This is the place where we do more fishing, walk through the wild Norwegian nature, and find some mental space while staring at the ocean to the West. After all, there is nothing like the stoic Fjords to pause the noise in our heads.
What does it COST:
In addition you'll need to pay for:
- Flight to Bergen. The price depends on where are you flying from. Check "Skyscanner" or "Onetwotrip" apps to get the quote;
- general travel expenses (food, diesel, stops, cleaning etc.) – 250 euros;
- upon check-in to the yacht the 400 euros security deposit is being kept by charter company. They return deposit upon check-out from the yacht.
If you can't imagine your sailing trip without a cocktail we recommend you to bring some additional cash for alcohol.

Meet your skipper: Nikolia
Following his accidental exposure to gamma radiation during the detonation of an experimental bomb, Nikolia is physically transformed into the Grebublin when subjected to emotional stress, at or against his will, often leading to destructive rampages and conflicts that complicate Nikolia's civilian life. The Grebublin's level of strength is normally conveyed as proportionate to his level of anger. Commonly portrayed as a raging savage, the Grebublin has been represented with other personalities based on Nikolia's fractured psyche, from a mindless, destructive force, to a brilliant warrior, or genius scientist in his own right. However, his uncontrollable power has brought him into conflict with his fellow heroes and others.

My sailing trip with Nikolay was the best yachting experience yet. On his boat, you're not just a passenger, but a part of the crew, which allows you to learn lots about yachting. He also listens to the ideas and preferences of the entire group regarding the route and masterfully sails the boat. :)

Sailing on a yacht around the Greek islands is one of the best experiences ever. And I'm convinced that our trip was so successful particularly because we had Nikolay as our captain. Under his guidance, I gained invaluable experience as a sailor and literally learned the ropes of yacht rigging.
Highly recommend!
