Atlantication 3.0: Azores & Canary.
Blessed earth. That was the name of the archipelago of Macronesia — the duo of the Azores and Canaries. We explore 4 of the first and 3 of the second islands. Here we will see a separate world among the Atlantic Ocean. The spirit of Europe, the landscapes of paradise and Mars. Ancient Roman scholars believed that these islands are the tops of the sunken Atlantis. And we will find our geographical treasures. The ocean here loves adventurers on the waves. The weather is always calm, and the waters are calm. Each island has its own unique climate. This gives life to a wide variety of plants. It seems that here is eternal spring. Only volcanoes without trees take us somewhere into space.

Let's Rock & Roll
Day 1
Sao Miguel.
Sail to the largest island of the archipelago. Around floral trees and velvet fields. The center of the island beckons: blue-eyed lakes and places where water falls down and runs into the ocean. Here curly stone cliffs and lagoons as in the movies. We sit on the edge of the cliff and forget about everything in the world. We return to take a walk among tea plantations and geysers. We dive into the hydrangea bushes, enjoy the flowers. Time to go back to the yacht.
Days 3–4
Sao Jorge.
An island in the shape of a herring. Just a long stone fish. There is a lighthouse on her head. And at the belly — waves of cream under the rocky cliffs. We will rise to the heights of the island, where all the villages are visible. We choose one coastal and go down to it. We are among the small houses that seem to have just been painted. Here they are — the snow-white walls of strong island families. If you're lucky — we'll see rabbits. Who will catch? He does not have time to call the captain for a sea dinner on a yacht.
Days 5–6
Pico.
We go around the island and sail to its southern part. In the ocean, we saw deep blue water. But on the shores themselves, the heavenly color beckons to the marina. Sailing, we see that this island is just a big pointed hat made of stones. And in the middle of the island lives the highest mountain in Portugal. Let's rise to the clouds? Here grow grapes for wine, which was loved by Russian tsars. Verdello is one of the most delicious varieties. By the way, vineyards grow on biscuit land — the fields here are from volcanic lava. The landscape used to help merchants easily transport wine. They just rolled barrels to the ship itself in the port. And they drank wine with the still popular fish caldeira. Will we try?
Days 7–9
Ocean.
Do you like water? Are you enjoying the taste of sea drops on your lips while getting out to the sandy beach? Now imagine the impossibly huge amount of it. There is nothing around you, only waves, wind, and sea creatures for 300 miles away.
We will have 3–4 days of a real conversation with nature before we get to Canary archipelago.
Days 10–11
La Palma.
Hello Canary Islands. Are you really 30 million years old? Previously, La Palma was called Isla Bonita, Verde is a beautiful, green island. Here begin the black beaches with volcanic sand. In the center of the island, we find ourselves in the Spanish Grand Canyon. The climate here is a bit different but just as comfortable. So much greenery that you can swim in the flora. In the past, the island was a mecca for pirates. But we ourselves are not against adventure. But only positive.
Days 12–13
La Gomera.
We sail to the island, a copy of children's drawings. It has an almost perfect round shape and many palm trees. There are deserted beaches and silence in the villages. In the center of the island is a national park in which clouds live among the jungle and rocks. Once Christopher Columbus escaped from the eruption of a volcano in Tenerife and sailed to La Gomera. Rumor has it that he fell in love with a local ruler and was often there later. And we will fall in love with the island and in a contented mood, we will sail further.
Day 14
Tenerife.
The most popular island of the archipelago for Europeans. But we will look for adventure. Therefore, we go to the Teide volcano at dawn, so as not to wake it. We will watch the sun rise from the water. Perhaps we will even see drops flowing down from the solar disk. In Tenerife, there is a teleport that will send us to Mars. Space landscapes attract Hollywood directors. Without spacesuits, we will walk around the places of filming films about space. We'll go down the steep serpentines. But not scary, because we are already used to pitching. The last hours of our adventure. In a new outness, we are returning home. After all, after traveling you will never be the same.
