This trip is all about discovering how Norwegian people life in a small island towns. We sacrifice Trolltunga hiking in order to one more island town visited.

Look at our detailed plan
Let's Rock & Roll
Day 1
This town is also known as Fjord Gates.
If you want to get some sightseeing on your own then make sure to arrive one day earlier. After exploring Bergen we travel to Hjellestad, where we find the marina and our yacht.
The plan is simple. We get here by bus, buy goods we need for the trip, and load up the yacht. And then we get out into the open water.
Day 2
Godøysund consists of several islands in the Bjørnefjorden. Inbetween them runs a 500 meter long canal, "Mediterranean," where the bottom is covered with shiny white shell. Godøysund is known for its rich nature and its amazing wildlife. Around the island there are plenty of trails criss-cross. Here you can have a relaxing walk and enjoy the old footpaths around the island.
Day 3
This little island town is all about the sightseeing and the local food. What to see: the country museum and a sea museum. What to eat: go to the famous restaurant Fengselet Mat & Vinkjellar. No need to Google it. We know it's good.
Day 4
One thing to say about this place: there are no hotels. You might think it's a small thing but it really makes a big difference. We will go fishing here, and discover what a quaint Norwegian town looks like without all the tourists.
Day 5
This place has been a center of trade and maritime industry for quite some time. The harbor was used by Hansa ships destined for Bergen. The area is great for fishing, both in between the isles and reefs further out in the North Sea. Sailing, diving or paddling among the islets is quite an experience. You can also visit Slåtterøy Fyr, Norways most powerful lighthouse.
Day 6
This is basically the town built on the pier.
Day 7
Today we wake up in an absolute harmony with ourselves. We leave the Stolmen and head to our marina at Hjellestad, where everything actually had begun a week ago.
Day 8
In the morning we checkout from the yacht, and with a peace in mind go to Bergen for our flight back home. Now we have a story to tell, story about our northern adventure...
